A LITTLE ABOUT US
OUR STORY
When the Iraqis attacked Khafii they thought they were attacking the soft center of the coalition. They underestimated the willingness of the small group of supporting Marines to fight back.
Air power had taken out all the Iraqi assets outside the city, but a large number of Iraqis still occupied the city. It would have been easy to turn back but there were Marines trapped in the city.
Time was of the essence. Marines were on a rooftop and Iraqis were in the stairwell. Whether or not those Marines came off that roof top alive was going to depend on how quickly their fellow Marines could deliver the fire power they requested.
In the midst of the chaos, the Marines had a simple job to do. Whether or not they accomplished it would determine the fate of their fellow Marines.

This is a story about a group of young Marines who shared something uncommon, an ironclad commitment that we would never turn our backs on each other. No matter what.

THE PURPOSE
WHAT PROJECT CHAOS IS ABOUT
Project Chaos is a unique radio show that emerged from an extraordinary journey that began in 1990 during the attack on the city of Khafji by the Iraqi army. This event and its profound implications are detailed in the book 'Victory Over Chaos'.

The radio show is deeply tied to this event and the commitment and courage exhibited by the few U.S. Marines present during the attack. When faced with adversity, they chose to fight, demonstrating a spirit of never giving up - a commitment shared by all in the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines.

This commitment, which does not expire, becomes particularly significant today as we navigate challenging times characterized by moral and leadership crises. Amidst this chaos, Project Chaos seeks to bring forth the voice of our nation's warriors. It is not about telling stories, but about highlighting sacrifice and preserving our legacy.

Project Chaos is about helping those unfamiliar with our history understand why this legacy is important. Over the past six years, the show has produced over 1,600 podcasts and published three books, with a fourth on the way. It is guided by the goal to provide the best possible radio show with the highest integrity.

Hosted by Chris Kunkel, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and the author of 'Victory Over Chaos', Project Chaos gives you a glimpse into the mindset and perspective of our nation's warriors.
